Mindfulness Courses In North London

We live in a world where we often find ourselves either ruminating on the past or fast-forwarding to the future in a way which is not necessarily beneficial to our well-being.  Mindfulness can help us to bring our attention back to the present, to what it happening right now, in a way that can help improve focus and concentration, as well as reducing the stress that can arise from worrying about the past or the future. 

The 8-week course

This 8-week course is heavily based on the evidence-based gold-standard Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course and is designed to help you:

  • experience 'being in the moment' more - appreciating the present;
  • approach stress and negative thinking in a  different way;
  • boost energy and resilience;
  • work towards living life in a way that is more focused, balanced and calm.

The groups for each course are intentionally small (usually a maximum of 10 participants) and so early booking is advised.

Graduate Sessions - London

These sessions usually take place the first Sunday of every month and provide an opportunity for people who have  either done an 8-week mindfulness course or who have a regular form of practice to come together, reconnect with and deepen practice, whilst being guided as a group. We also usually have tea and biscuits afterwards for anyone who wants to stay and chat. The theme for this term is 'patience' and looking at how we can bring that to our practice, both formal and informal. Places are cheaper if booked in advance and as a block, but equally, subject to space you are very welcome just drop in on the day if you prefer. To book  your place in advance please fill out  this booking form and return it to ruth@calmcitymind.com.

Mindfulness In The Workplace

Calm City Mind regularly runs workplace taster sessions which can range from 45 mins to 3 hours and introduce people to mindfulness with a particular focus on its use in the workplace, as well as longer courses in businesses to help employees use mindfulness as a tool for managing their well-being and resilience.  The taster sessions are ideally suited to up to 15 people and can be run over a lunch break, early morning, or straight after work.
